Smart Multi-Currency Invoice-Payment Matching and Suggestions

Currently, when payments are made in a different currency than the invoice currency (e.g., invoice in USD but payment made in GBP), GetInvoice creates a bill with an amount that does not match the actual payment. This requires manual adjustment of the bill amount to reconcile it with the payment.

I propose adding a feature similar to Xero’s smart matching system, where GetInvoice can:

• Scan bank payments imported from Xero or other sources.

• Suggest invoice matches based on payment amount, company name, and other relevant data.

• Automatically adjust bills to reflect the actual payment amount considering currency conversion rates.

• Provide suggestions for matching invoices and payments to simplify reconciliation.

Benefits:

• Saves time by reducing manual edits and reconciliation work.

• Improves accuracy of financial records when dealing with multi-currency payments.

• Enhances user experience by automating a common pain point.
